Ingredients

  • 500 ml cold water – chilled water helps the drink stay refreshing for longer.
  • 200 g fresh strawberries – fresh ones give the best flavor avoid frozen for richer taste.
  • 2 –3 slices of lemon – adds tangy sourness and enhances the strawberry flavor.
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint – gives a cooling aroma and refreshing aftertaste.
  • 5 tbsp strawberry syrup or 70 g sugar – syrup blends quickly sugar is a natural option.
  • Ice cubes – for serving and keeping the drink extra cold.

Method

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under running water. Remove the green stems and cut them into small pieces. Fresh strawberries give the best results, so avoid using frozen ones as they tend to water down the flavor.
  2. Take half of the chopped strawberries and place them in a bowl. Add the strawberry syrup or sugar, then mash with a fork or muddler until juicy. Pour cold water into the mixture and stir well until everything blends smoothly.
  3. In a large jug, add lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs. Pour the prepared strawberry water into the jug and let it sit for a few minutes. This allows the lemon and mint to infuse their flavors into the drink, making it more refreshing.
  4. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled strawberry lemonade into each glass. Garnish with extra strawberry slices, a lemon wheel, and a mint leaf on top. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.
