Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wraps Recipe

I have to admit, every time I make these Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wraps, I get excited even before taking the first bite. There’s something irresistible about the spicy buffalo sauce paired with tender chicken, crisp veggies, and creamy dressing all wrapped up in a soft tortilla
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken – I love using rotisserie chicken for extra flavor and convenience.
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce – adjust to your spice preference; a good-quality sauce makes a big difference.
  • 2 tablespoons ranch or blue cheese dressing – use chilled dressing for a refreshing contrast against the spicy chicken.
  • 4 large flour tortillas 10-inch – warming them slightly helps prevent tearing while wrapping.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce – fresh crisp lettuce works best; avoid pre-washed bagged lettuce for better texture.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese – freshly grated cheese melts better and adds richer flavor.
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes – ripe tomatoes give juiciness and balance the heat.
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions – adds subtle sharpness and crunch.
  • 1/4 cup diced celery optional – optional, but I love the extra crunch it gives.

Method

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Cook it in a skillet with a little oil until fully cooked and lightly browned. Toss the hot chicken in buffalo sauce until well-coated for that signature tangy spice.
  2. If your tortillas feel stiff, heat them briefly in a skillet or microwave. This makes them flexible and easier to wrap without tearing.
  3. Spread a spoonful of ranch or blue cheese dressing on the center of each tortilla. Layer buffalo chicken, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and optional celery on top.
  4. Fold in the sides and roll tightly from the bottom up. Cut each wrap in half for easier handling and a prettier presentation. Serve immediately while the chicken is warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh, crisp vegetables – they add a nice crunch and contrast to the warm chicken.
  • Don’t overload the wraps – too many fillings make rolling tricky and messy.
  • Adjust buffalo sauce to taste – I usually mix a bit of butter to mellow out extra heat.
  • Chill the dressing – it keeps the wrap refreshing against the spicy chicken.
  • Toast the assembled wrap lightly – a quick 1–2 minute toast adds crispiness and extra flavor.
