Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rotisserie chicken shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1 pack 1 ounce ranch dressing mix
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Method

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F. To prepare the base of the dip, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix in a large bowl. Stir until the mixture is smooth and all the components are well combined.
  2. Once this base is ready, gently fold in the shredded chicken, half of the shredded cheese, and the chopped bacon. This creates the perfect balance of creamy and hearty in every bite.
  3. Take your greased baking dish and spread the chicken mixture evenly inside. Use your spatula to smooth out the top, ensuring an even layer. This allows the dish to heat thoroughly and gives that irresistible golden cheese crust on top.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese evenly over the top. Once ready, place the dish in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the dip is bubbly and hot. If you like a slightly crispier top, broil it for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove the dish from the oven carefully, as it will be piping hot. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving. Top with fresh herbs like parsley or chives for extra color and aroma.
