Ingredients

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup 100% orange juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed

Method

  1. Whisk together Greek yogurt, orange juice, and vanilla extract in a jar or container. Make sure it’s smooth and well combined to create that creamy base for your oats.
  2. Stir in rolled oats and ground flaxseed. Mix thoroughly so every oat is coated with the liquid mixture. You can also shake the jar with a lid for even distribution.
  3. Cover your jar and place it in the fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight. This allows the oats to soften and absorb all the flavors, creating that perfect creamy texture.
  4. In the morning, stir the oats and add your favorite toppings like fresh orange slices, berries, or a sprinkle of nuts. Dig in directly from the jar or transfer to a bowl for a fancier presentation.

Notes

  • I like to zest a little orange peel into the mix for extra citrus aroma
  • If I want a thicker texture, I add a spoonful of Greek yogurt in the morning
  • Letting the oats sit a full 8 hours makes them extra creamy and flavorful
  • I sometimes layer fresh fruit in the jar for a visually appealing breakfast
