Easy Banana Chamomile Tea Smoothie Recipe

I recently tried making this Easy Banana Chamomile Tea Smoothie, and I was surprised by how soothing and refreshing it turned out. The gentle floral taste of chamomile mixed with the natural sweetness of banana created a smooth and calming drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed chamomile tea cooled
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 –5 ice cubes optional
  • Dried chamomile leaves optional garnish

Method

  1. Start by brewing a cup of chamomile tea using a tea bag or loose leaves. Let it steep for about five minutes so the flavor develops fully. Once brewed, set it aside and allow it to cool completely before blending.
  2. Peel the ripe banana and cut it into small chunks. Smaller pieces blend more easily and help create a smoother texture. Using a fully ripe banana also improves the sweetness and creaminess of the smoothie.
  3. Measure the honey, milk, and ice cubes if you plan to use them. Having everything ready before blending makes the process faster. It also helps maintain the correct ingredient balance for the best flavor.
  4. Add the cooled chamomile tea, banana chunks, honey, and milk into a blender. Blend everything on high speed until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy. If you like a thicker drink, add ice cubes before blending.
  5. Taste the smoothie after blending. If it feels too thick, add a little extra milk and blend again. If you want more sweetness, add a small drizzle of honey and blend briefly.
  6. Pour the smoothie into a glass or jar. Garnish with dried chamomile leaves or banana slices if desired. Serve immediately while it is fresh and chilled.

Notes

  • I always use very ripe bananas because they make the smoothie naturally sweet and creamy.
  • I prefer letting the chamomile tea cool completely before blending; it keeps the smoothie fresh and smooth.
  • When I want a thicker smoothie, I add a few extra ice cubes or use a frozen banana.
  • Sometimes I blend the smoothie for an extra 10–15 seconds to get an ultra‑creamy texture.
  • I like adding a tiny pinch of cinnamon for a warm flavor that pairs nicely with chamomile.
