Delicious Rotisserie Chicken Breast Recipe

The first time I made a batch of seasoned rotisserie chicken breast tenders, I was amazed by how simple yet flavorful they turned out. The tender, juicy chicken, paired with aromatic spices, makes them a versatile base for so many dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • ½ teaspoon salt optional
  • 1 ½ lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or tenders

Method

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil to make cleanup easier.
  2. Place the chicken tenderloins or breast pieces in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. This ensures they cook evenly. Trim any excess fat before seasoning for a cleaner presentation.
  3. Combine paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, black pepper, cayenne (optional), and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir the spices until the blend is evenly mixed. This rotisserie-style rub brings out the best in your chicken!
  4. Evenly coat the chicken with your spice mix, ensuring every piece gets a good smattering of flavor. You can sprinkle it on and use your hands to rub it in gently.
  5. Place the chicken in the oven and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a meat thermometer shows an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). This ensures your chicken is perfectly cooked and safe to eat.
  6. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes after baking. This step locks in the juices and enhances the flavor.
  7. Slice, shred, or serve the chicken as is. Pair it with your favorite side dishes or use it as a topping for salads, rice bowls, or tacos.
