Chicken & Waffle Sliders Recipe

I love discovering recipes that are simple yet surprisingly delicious, and chicken & waffle sliders are one of my favorites! The first time I made them, I was amazed at how just a few ingredients could create such a fun and flavorful dish. These sliders are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a snack, and the best part is that they’re kid-friendly and super easy to assemble. Every time I make them, my family can’t stop grabbing more!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • Mini waffles – I use plain frozen waffles for ease; they toast perfectly and hold up well. Avoid flavored varieties like chocolate or blueberry to keep the balance of flavors.
  • Chicken tenders – Store-bought cooked chicken tenders save time and taste great. If you want homemade fried tenders also work wonderfully.
  • Real maple syrup – This is a must! It adds the perfect sweet contrast to the savory chicken.
  • Toothpicks – Essential to hold the sliders together without making a mess.

Method

  1. First, toast the mini waffles until they’re golden and slightly crispy. Slice your cooked chicken tenders in half so they fit neatly between the waffles.
  2. Take two toasted waffles and sandwich a piece of chicken in between. Secure each slider with a toothpick to keep it intact.
  3. Once all sliders are assembled, drizzle real maple syrup over them. Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • I always toast the waffles slightly longer for extra crispiness.
  • Using real maple syrup elevates the flavor instantly.
  • You can double the batch for a brunch party; they’re a hit with kids and adults alike.
  • I like to experiment with adding a slice of cheese or a small dollop of honey mustard to some sliders for variety.
