Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Recipe

I’ve always loved quick meals that feel fancy, and this Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Shrimp is exactly that. The first time I tried it, I was amazed at how flavorful shrimp can get in just a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz frozen shrimp thawed, shelled, and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

Method

  1. Pat your shrimp dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture. Place them in a mixing bowl and add olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, minced garlic, and Parmesan. Toss until every shrimp is coated evenly.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F. Place shrimp in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even crisping. Shrimp are done when they turn opaque and slightly firm.
  3. Remove shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately. I like mine over pasta, in a fresh salad, or with a side of cocktail sauce. Sprinkle extra Parmesan or chopped parsley for an elegant touch.

Notes

  • I always pat shrimp dry thoroughly to get the crispiest texture.
  • Using freshly shredded Parmesan makes a huge flavor difference.
  • I like tossing shrimp gently instead of overmixing to keep them from breaking.
  • If shrimp are small, I reduce cooking time by a minute to avoid overcooking.
